This day honors the founder of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) who passed away on this day in the year 1556 and is a major occasion for Jesuit and Catholic communities worldwide. \nThe Jesuit prayer of surrender\, known as the Suscipe (Latin for “Receive”)\, was written by the founder of the Jesuits\, St. Ignatius of Loyola. It is his radical act of faith that asks the believer to offer their mind\, will\, and possessions to God trusting that His grace is sufficient!\n\nThe Suscipe Prayer\n\n\n“Take\, Lord\, and receive all my liberty\,my memory\, my understanding\, and my entire will\,All I have and call my own.You have given all to me.To you\, Lord\, I return it.Everything is yours; do with it what you will.Give me only your love and your grace.That is enough for me. The Examen is a reflective prayer popularised by St Ignatius of Loyola. It invites us to find God in all the people and events of our lives.\nRetreat Director: Dr Susie Hii\nDr Susie Hii is a spiritual director whose unique background integrates science and faith. Susie holds a Masters in Spirituality from the University of Divinity alongside a medical degree from the University of Melbourne\, and works as a medical specialist (geriatrician). She brings a grounded\, compassionate\, and practical approach to spiritual well-being.
