SUMMARY:St Ignatius Feast Day
DESCRIPTION:The liturgical feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola is celebrated globally on July 31st each year. This day honors the founder of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) who passed away on this day in the year 1556 and is a major occasion for Jesuit and Catholic communities worldwide. \nThe Jesuit prayer of surrender\, known as the Suscipe (Latin for “Receive”)\, was written by the founder of the Jesuits\, St. Ignatius of Loyola. It is his radical act of faith that asks the believer to offer their mind\, will\, and possessions to God trusting that His grace is sufficient!\n\nThe Suscipe Prayer\n\n\n“Take\, Lord\, and receive all my liberty\,my memory\, my understanding\, and my entire will\,All I have and call my own.You have given all to me.To you\, Lord\, I return it.Everything is yours; do with it what you will.Give me only your love and your grace. That is enough for me. Amen.”\n\n\n\nYou are warmly invited to join us in celebrating the Feast Day of St Ignatius of Loyola\, a saint whose life continues to inspire faith\, reflection\, and service. Let us gather in prayer and fellowship as we honour his legacy and the spirit of Ignatian spirituality. Your presence will make this celebration truly special.\n\n\nDate: Sunday\, 2nd August 2026 \nVenue: Claremont Catholic Church\, 8 Warden Street\, Claremont (Melville Street & College Road) \nRefreshments will be provided after mass\,
