Ordinary people leading ordinary lives inspired by the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola

“CLC offers companionship which encourages and enables.”

CLC Australia acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this land on which we live, work, and pray. We pay our respect to Elders, past, present, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, culture, language, and spirituality and community.

We acknowledge the pain and impact of colonialisation, and recognise the resilience, strength and pride of these communities Sovereignty has never been ceded, so this land always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.

As members of CLC we commit to walk together toward peace, justice and reconciliation.

The Christian Life Community (CLC) way of life invites us to encounter God in all the various aspects of our everyday life, reflect on these experiences, become more aware of God’s activity in these experiences, and respond in ever more authentic ways to God’s desire within our individual lives and our communal lives.

CLC Australia is an Earthcare Organisation!

So what does that mean?
Pope Francis released his encyclical letter Laudato Si’ to call for action to address the spiritual, social and economic crisis causing environmental devastation. He called us to “Hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor”.

Taking their lead from Pope Francis, our Australian Catholic Bishops have invited us through Catholic Earthcare to implement a Laudato Si’ Action Plan, in order to be converted to new ways of living both personally and collectively, to care for our common home.

Statement from the National Executive and Regional Chairs of CLC Australia:
Despite the results of the Australian 2023 Referendum, we, the members of CLC Australia, will
continue to walk with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people towards healing, peace, justice
and reconciliation.
