You are warmly invited to a half-day of Reflection based on the Ignatian tradition of the Spiritual Exercises facilitated by Frances Tilly – from Jesuit and Ignatian Spirituality Australia (JISA).

“How does God call me by name, how will I respond?”

We will have a spacious, contemplative and hospitable few hours, with different ways to taste and share experience of the spiritual exercises and discernment.

Ignatius develops these through his own life experience, seeking his authentic self and purpose, through intimate relationship, companionship – always desiring greater freedom, and living with many creative tensions.

A mysticism of practical service in the world, a love offering for the God he came to know.

We hope this time will be an opportunity for you to enjoy these gifts of Ignatius, to reflect in gratitude and wonder for all has led you to this point, and deepen the discernment of your calling, to respond with ever greater freedom as yourself, in your service.

Bio of Frances Tilly:

Frances Tilly works in leadership with Jesuit and Ignatian Spirituality Australia (JISA), a work of the Australian Jesuits, and is based in Sydney. She is a formator and practitioner, and gives the spiritual exercises in all their forms, spiritual direction, and professional supervision. Frances develops and facilitates practical spiritual formation programs for leadership, staff, and volunteers in diverse pastoral contexts within and external to the Australian Jesuit Province. Passionate about the rich tradition of the Ignatian charism, with its contemporary possibilities and inherently deep and life-giving way, Frances offers contemplative accompaniment with safe, encouraging and creative space.

Note:   Morning tea will be provided, but please bring your own lunch – if you can stay for a short time of social interaction after the conclusion of the session.
