Yesterday, July 25, our NEXCO meeting was scheduled from 10am-5.00pm. We normally have shorter meetings over two days but this time we all agreed to have it on one day. With 28 items on the agenda, I knew it could be a challenge for me- sitting, typing and staring at the screen for that long. We began with a prayer that led us to ponder on what it really means to be a ‘servant leader’ and that set the tone of the day for me. What never fails to amaze me is how this group of people that I work and serve with do it with so much openness and passion. I feel we have grown together in wisdom and character; but more importantly in our ability to laugh generously and keep our smiles while acting on what we have been called do to as members of NEXCO. Oh, we did have two breaks and we actually managed to end the meeting at 4.30pm. Iain took the screenshot and accidentally left himself out!
